Plant Essentials
Fertilization requires lots of nitrogen-rich fertilizer only three days a week and only once a month during winters. Potting preferably in a larger one, and once it grows well, propagation can be via stem cutting as well.
Common Problems
Why are the leaves turning brown or limping on the stem? All reasons lie in over watering, under watering, over-fertilization. Relocating the plant to a much low temperate zone could help the plant stem not limp. Moving to a warmer place could help it from drooping.
Style and Decor
The Calatheas needs clear and bright sunlight. The right amount of water, shaded balcony corner, which can provide indirect contact with sunlight, can help in better growth. A space like an office, lobbies can get dimension. Planting in metallic gold or monochromatic pots can do wonders.
