Plant Essentials
Fertilizer: Feed the plant with rich compost and a well-balanced water-soluble fertilizer, reduced to half weight, during its growing months of spring and early summer, when new leaves are sprouting.
Repotting: Repot in a larger container. Keep the soil wet but not soggy.
Propagation: During the spring and summer, rhizome cuttings of Stromanthe Triostar can be quickly propagated.
Common Problems
1. Why are the leaves on my Stromanthe drooping?
The Stromanthe Triostar thrives in a humid climate hence drooping of leaves indicates a lack of water in the leaves. 2. The leaves on my Stromanthe are turning orange.
The plant is most likely parched due to a lack of humidity, which causes the browning of the leaves.
Style and Decor
Light Requirements: Bright indirect sunlight is a simple need of this plant; however, direct sunlight will cause the plant to lose variegations, burn, and ultimately die.
Locations: A north or east-facing window is ideal for the Stromanthe Triostar.
Styling/decor tip: Combine your Stromanthe Triostar with a planter in a contrasting colour. It is also an excellent option for adding colour to your shaded balconies.
